Notes:

The two Friday practice sessions for Saturday's Bubba Burger Grand Prix at Long Beach for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship proved to be a sign of things to come as Acura Team Penske displayed speed all day, culminating with Juan Pablo Montoya setting a new track record in winning the first pole position in team history. Montoya broke the track record – set last year by his new teammate, Ricky Taylor – in the No. 6 Acura Team Penske ARX-05. The top four qualifiers passed the old speed mark, including Helio Castroneves who qualified fourth in the No. 7 Acura Team Penske ARX-05. When the race begins tomorrow Acura Team Penske will have two drivers in Montoya and Castroneves who will be making their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship start on the streets of Long Beach, but both own wins in the Verizon IndyCar Series at the historic venue.
