The 2012 MENCS champion circle the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway in 31.313 seconds during the Friday afternoon qualifying session. Ryan Blaney and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion team will start from the 11th position after a lap of 31.352 seconds. The Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion team and driver Joey Logano will roll off from the 19th starting position after a lap of 31.524 seconds.
