Recap: Sunday brought an end to the 2019 Roar Before The 24 test session for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Daytona International Speedway. The day was highlighted by the qualifying session for each class that sets the order in which garage and pit stalls will be selected. After a morning practice session Ricky Taylor led the Acura Team Penske charge by finishing with the third-fastest lap in the qualifying session at 1:33.398 seconds in the No. 7 Prototype. Juan Pablo Montoya slotted in with the seventh-fastest time in the No. 6 at 1:34.431 seconds. Acura Team Penske did not participate in the final afternoon session.

Race: Acura Team Penske and the other competitors in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will reconvene at Daytona International Speedway on January 24 for the Rolex 24 race weekend. Coverage of the weekend begins at 2 pm ET on January 24 on NBC Sports Network with the Rolex 24 Preview Show prior to qualifying at 3 pm.
