Ed Leslie Ed Leslie
1969
- Trans-Am
Leslie competed in six Trans-Am Series races with Team Penske in 1969 when the team raced as Penske-Hilton Racing. Leslie finished four of those events and earned three second-place finishes and a third-place result for the team. His finishes helped Chevrolet win the 1969 Manufacturers Championship. After a 14-year career, Leslie retired after the 1970 season to focus on running a car dealership.   

Joey Logano Joey Logano
2013-Present

Since joining Team Penske for the 2013 season, Logano has earned 12 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) wins and nine NSCS poles, while earning a berth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup in each of his first three seasons with the team. Logano qualified for the final round of the Chase and finished fourth in the standings in 2014. In 2015, Logano became the second-youngest Daytona 500 Champion in NASCAR history, producing Team Penske’s second win in the season-opening event. In addition to his NSCS success, Logano has produced seven wins and eight poles in just 36 NASCAR XFINITY Series starts and has helped the No. 22 team secure the Owners’ Championship for Roger Penske the past three years.

Patrick Long Patrick Long
2006-2008

Long began his Team Penske career as a co-driver at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2006 and then returned at the 2007 Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, where he was a class winner and finished second overall with Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas. Long ran a full-season in 2008, earning six podium finishes and finishing fifth in the championship standings.

Lucas Luhr Lucas Luhr
2005-2006

Making his first Team Penske start in 2005, Luhr won in his debut driving the Porsche RS Spyder at Laguna Seca. Driving full-time in 2006, Luhr earned three-LMP2 class wins in 10 races and finished on the podium in every race before clinching the 2006 ALMS LMP2 Championship. Luhr and the team earned three-class victories at Miller Motorsports Park, Laguna Seca and at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, where they finished second overall.

Sascha Maassen Sascha Maassen
2005-2008
- ALMS
Maassen raced a full-season for Team Penske in the 2006 ALMS campaign, winning three races at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, Road America and Road Atlanta en route to capturing the LMP2 Championship in the famous Porsche RS Spyder. Maassen continued his strong run into 2007, when he won three more races and recorded nine podium finishes, including back-to-back overall wins at Miller Motorsports Park and Lime Rock (Conn.) Park.

Jan Magnussen Jan Magnussen
1996
- INDYCAR
Magnussen competed in four INDYCAR races for Team Penske during the 1996 season, racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America, Vancouver and Laguna Seca. His best finish came at Laguna Seca with an eighth-place result while driving the No. 9 Mercedes-Benz powered Penske chassis.

Dave Marcis Dave Marcis
1972-1974, 1977
- NASCAR, USAC Stock
Driving the No. 2 Chevrolet Laguna, Marcis scored one USAC Stock Car competition win with Team Penske in the Norton Twin 200 at Michigan International Speedway on July 17, 1977. In four seasons, Marcis made 30 NSCS starts with the organization.

Tarso Marques Tarso Marques
1999
- INDYCAR
Marques came to Team Penske as a replacement driver for the injured Al Unser Jr., in 1999. The best result of his six-race stint came at his home track in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil when he qualified eighth before finishing in the ninth position.

Jeremy Mayfield Jeremy Mayfield
1998-2000
- NASCAR
Mayfield earned three victories, five pole positions and 23 top-five finishes in his three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series seasons with Team Penske. Two of his wins came at Pocono Raceway and the third came at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. Mayfield also collected 40 top-10 finishes while racing for the team.

Michael McDowell Michael McDowell
2014

McDowell competed in one NASCAR XFINITY Series race for Team Penske in 2014 when he raced at Kentucky Speedway. McDowell qualified and finished eighth, helping the No. 22 team win the 2014 Owners Series’ Championship as one of five different drivers to pilot the car that season.

Rick Mears Rick Mears
1978-1992

Few drivers have epitomized "The Penske Way" more than Mears. His 29 INDYCAR wins are tied with Helio Castroneves for the most by a Team Penske driver. One of three drivers to win the Indianapolis 500 four times, Mears also holds the record with six pole positions in the famed race. He won three INDYCAR titles with the team in 1979, 1981 and 1982 while becoming an American icon. He remains a valuable member of the team as an advisor to the current Team Penske four-driver INDYCAR lineup.

Juan Pablo Montoya Juan Pablo Montoya
2014-Present
- INDYCAR
After 13 years racing in INDYCAR, Formula 1 and then NASCAR, Montoya returned to the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2014 as a member of Team Penske, fulfilling a lifelong dream to race for Roger Penske. It was a successful return for Montoya as he won at Pocono Raceway and scored four podium finishes. During the 2015 season, Montoya established himself as a championship contender, winning two races for Team Penske, including Roger Penske’s 16th Indianapolis 500 win in May, as he just edged teammate Will Power. Montoya also led the point standings for nearly the entire season, eventually finishing second in the 2015 championship.


Ben Moore Ben Moore
1966
- Endurance
Moore competed in two races with Team Penske in 1966 and he won both events. Moore, along with co-drivers George Wintersteen and Dick Guldstrand, won the 24 Hours of Daytona GT Class in a Corvette while finishing 12th overall overcoming a night time accident that destroyed the nose of the car. That marked the first-ever victory for Team Penske. Later that year, Moore and Wintersteen won the GT class in the 12 Hours of Sebring race while finishing ninth overall.

Ryan Newman Ryan Newman
2000-2008
- NASCAR, ARCA
A winning sprint and midget racer, Newman made his debut with Team Penske in 2000 in ARCA competition, winning in his second start. He made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut with the team that same year. He earned one points win, a victory in the Sprint All-Star Race and Rookie of the Year honors in 2002. Newman followed that up with an impressive 2003 season in which he won eight races, 11 pole positions and earned 17 top-five finishes. Newman captured the 50th running of the Daytona 500 in 2008, leading a Team Penske 1-2 finish with teammate Kurt Busch.

Jackie Oliver Jackie Oliver
1971
- Trans-Am
Oliver competed in one event for Team Penske, the 1971 Mission Bell 200 at Riverside (Calif.) International Raceway. He secured a third-place finish behind the wheel of the No. 6 Sunoco AMC Javelin. Oliver is a former winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1969).

Simon Pagenaud Simon Pagenuad
2015-Present
- INDYCAR
Pagenaud made the move to Team Penske in 2015 driving the newly-formed No. 22 Team Penske Dallara/Chevrolet for the Verizon IndyCar Series season. The addition of Pagenaud gave Team Penske one of the strongest lineups in motorsports and represented the first time open-wheel racing’s most successful team would field a four-car program in its storied history. Pagenaud’s 2015 campaign was highlighted by one pole position at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana (Calif.) and two podiums, with his best finishes consisting of thirdplace runs at Belle Isle Park in Detroit and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Max Papis Max Papis
2002
- INDYCAR
The veteran open-wheel, road racing and NASCAR driver made one start for Team Penske on September 15, 2002 when he substituted for an injured Gil de Ferran at Texas Motor Speedway. Papis started 18th and finished 21st after engine problems ended his day early.

Charlie Parsons Charlie Parsons
1969
- Endurance
"Chuck" Parsons made one start for Team Penske when he filled in for an injured Ronnie Bucknum in the 1969 24 Hours of Daytona as a co-driver with Mark Donohue, driving the #6 Lola T70. The duo of Donohue and Parsons, who had never raced at Daytona or at nighttime, qualified second and completed 626 laps, winning their class in the prestigious endurance race, the second time Team Penske took the checkered flag in the 24-hour event.


Sam Posey Sam Posey
1968
- Trans-Am
Posey made four starts for Team Penske in the 1968 Trans-Am Series and earned top-three finishes in each race. Posey and Mark Donohue drove the Team Penske Camaros that season and helped Chevrolet win the Trans-Am Series championship. A strong endurance racer in his career, Posey also competed in INDYCAR and Formula 1. Posey went onto a very successful career as a television commentator with ABC, Speed Channel and NBC Sports.

Will Power Will Power
2009-Present
- INDYCAR
Power came on board with Team Penske in 2009, initially filling in for Helio Castroneves at the beginning of the season. Through his strong performances, Power earned a part-time opportunity with the team when Castroneves returned to action, and he eventually earned a full-time ride. He scored his first win at Edmonton in 2009 before a practice accident at Sonoma cut short his first season. Since then, Power has become a superstar in INDYCAR, producing 22 race wins, 36 poles and 41 podium finishes. Power was honored as the INDYCAR Road Course Champion in 2010, 2011 and 2014 and won the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series Championship for Team Penske’s 13th INDYCAR title and 27th national championship.


Scott Pye Scott Pye
2015-Present
- V8 Supercars
Pye, a veteran road racer and former Formula Ford Champion, began driving for Dick Johnson Racing in 2014 and moved over to DJR Team Penske to work with Marcos Ambrose in the No. 17 Ford FG X Falcon. Pye’s best finish in 2015 was third, coming at Auckland. Pye will return to DJR Team Penske in 2016 and will be paired with Fabian Coulthard as the team expands to a two-car operation.
