THE MAGIC MILE: Team Penske's quest for a fourth-consecutive NASCAR Cup Series title remains on track as all three drivers advanced to the Round of 12 in the NASCAR Playoffs, which begins this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Joey Logano claimed his 33rd career pole and first at the Loudon track on Saturday afternoon, with teammate Ryan Blaney set to start alongside him on the front row in the second position. The trio of Team Penske drivers will each look to capitalize on the day Sunday as the Playoffs continue at the 1.058-mile oval. This marks the third time in the last four seasons that all three Team Penske entries have advanced to the Round of 12. Team Penske has collected seven Cup Series victories at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, most recently in 2020 with then-driver Brad Keselowski. The first Cup Series race at the Magic Mile, held in July of 1993, was won by former Team Penske driver Rusty Wallace.
LOGANO SAID IT: "I've got a great group of guys. Paul [Wolfe] knows how to help me get the car good and where it needs to be, and the guys do a great job getting the Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang fast. It's my home track, it feels so good to run well here. We've got a good starting spot, and obviously the Playoffs matter the most right now. Hopefully we're able to capitalize on it tomorrow."
RACE DAY RUNDOWN: The green flag is set to wave just after 2 p.m. ET Saturday on USA Network, with live radio coverage available on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
