KANSAS KEYS: The NASCAR Playoffs roll into Kansas Speedway for the second race in the Round of 12, a track where Team Penske has celebrated six Cup Series victories. Joey Logano has been a consistent force at the 1.5-mile oval, scoring three Playoff wins at the 1.5-mile track in 2014, 2015 and 2020 — the organization's most recent Kansas triumph. Teammate Ryan Blaney enters the weekend already locked into the Round of 8 after his win at New Hampshire, marking his fifth-consecutive Round of 8 appearance and seventh overall. Austin Cindric, who has a best finish of 11th at Kansas, will look to put together a solid race in hopes of securing his place in the next round of the postseason.

ON-TRACK: During Saturday afternoon's practice, both the No. 12 and No. 22 encountered tire issues. Ryan Blaney suffered a flat that sent him into the outside wall in Turn 2, preventing him from making a qualifying attempt and forcing the team to a backup car for Sunday's race. Joey Logano avoided contact when his car experienced a similar problem, allowing the driver of the No. 22 Ford Mustang Dark Horse to post a lap in qualifying. The No. 2 of Austin Cindric grazed the wall during his qualifying lap but was able to complete the run.

RACE DAY RUNDOWN: The green flag is set to wave at 3 p.m. ET Sunday on USA Network, with live radio coverage available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
