BACK IN 'DEGA: Teams took to the high banks of Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday afternoon for single-car qualifying to set the field for Sunday's YellaWood 500. With no practice on the schedule, drivers had just one lap to lay down their best effort at the 2.66-mile Alabama oval. The top-10 drivers advanced to the second round to run for the pole position. Austin Cindric and Ryan Blaney both advanced to the final round and are set to start fourth and eighth, respectively. Talladega marks the second race in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, with Martinsville Speedway on deck next weekend before the Championship 4 is set. This weekend's event also marks a return to the site of Austin Cindric's third career Cup Series victory earlier this season, and Team Penske looks to add to its rich history at the track, where the organization has collected 12 total wins.
RACE DAY RUNDOWN: The YellaWood 500 is scheduled to go green at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, with live television coverage on NBC and radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
