Richmond, Va. - August 15, 2025
Austin Cindric, driver, No. 2 Menards/Richmond Water Heaters Ford Mustang Dark Horse - 13th
Ryan Blaney, driver, No. 12 BODYARMOR Sports Drink Ford Mustang Dark Horse - 20th
Joey Logano, driver, No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang Dark Horse - 38th
Logano suffered right side damage due to a right front tire failure in practice and was unable to complete a qualifying lap. The damage did not require the No. 22 to go to a backup car.
CINDRIC ON FRIDAY'S SESSION: "It's a decent spot. It's an important race for track position, so being able to have that flexibility for strategy, I feel like I'm sitting in the exact same stuff from last week when I also qualified 13th. We're at least starting in the ballgame, but the tire today was pretty interesting. It's going to take a lot for me to understand what I want out of my car for tomorrow. I feel like it's one of the more difficult racetracks to really dial in on one thing that just needs to be better and that will improve our performance."
RETURNING TO RICHMOND: The NASCAR Cup Series takes on the penultimate race of the 2025 regular season this weekend at Richmond Raceway. The Virginia short track serves as Team Penske's winningest on the circuit with 13 victories between the Cup Series and Xfinity Series programs. Of Team Penske's nine Cup Series victories at Richmond, two belong to Joey Logano (2014 Spring, 2017 Spring) who owns a 10.0 average finish across 31 career starts at the three-quarter-mile oval - including 17 top-10 finishes in his last 21 starts.
SATURDAY NIGHT SPOTLIGHT: The field is set to take the green flag at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday on USA Network, with live radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
