VIVA LAS VEGAS: The stage is set in Las Vegas as teams wrapped up practice and qualifying ahead of Sunday's South Point 400, which opens the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Playoffs. With pivotal events at Talladega Superspeedway and Martinsville Speedway still to come, teams are focused on building early momentum in the push toward the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway. Team Penske has a strong record in Las Vegas, earning two of the last three South Point 400 victories with Joey Logano and the No. 22 Ford Mustang team. Logano has four career wins at the Nevada track, contributing to Team Penske's eight total Cup Series victories at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
