Recap: Rain showers greeted the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship teams as they arrived at Watkins Glen International for the second day of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen weekend, altering the plan to properly prepare for the qualifying session later in the day. The Acura Team Penske DPi Prototypes still showed plenty of speed in the time trials, with Dane Cameron nearly securing another pole position in the No. 6 Acura with a lap of 1:29.862 seconds only to fall a bit short to qualify second. Ricky Taylor also produced a solid lap in the No. 7 Acura at 1:29.928 seconds and will start Sunday’s endurance race from the third position.
