Notes:

Brad Keselowski powered to the pole position in the No. 2 Discount Tire Ford Mustang on Friday evening for the 17th time in his cup series career with a lap of 21.229 seconds around Richmond Raceway. Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 400 will mark the third time this year that Keselowski has led the field to green. Teammate Ryan Blaney qualified 15th in the No. 12 Menards/Richmond Ford Mustang, while Joey Logano will start 28th in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang. Qualifying times will remain unofficial until pre-race inspection is complete tomorrow afternoon.

During both practice sessions, the three Team Penske Ford Mustangs worked primarily in race trim, focusing on handling and maintaining drive throughout the long runs which will likely dominant the final stage in Saturday night's 400-lap race.

Coverage:

Live coverage of the Federated Auto Parts 400 from Richmond Raceway will begin Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, MRN and Sirius XM NASCAR.
