Notes: Ryan Blaney led the way for Team Penske in qualifying for Sunday afternoon's FanShield 500 at Phoenix Raceway in the No. 12 Menards/Tarkett Ford Mustang. Teammates Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski will share the seventh row qualifying 13th and 14th respectively.

Logano is Team Penske's most recent winner in NASCAR Cup Series competition at the one-mile desert raceway, scoring a victory in the 2016 playoff race in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang. Keselowski will roll from the 14th position in Sunday's race in the No. 2 Alliance Parts Ford Mustang, after completing Saturday afternoon's NASCAR XFINITY Series race in the No. 12 EXPEL Mustang.
