Saturday afternoon's qualifying session for the IndyCar Series at Road America saw two of Team Penske's Chevrolets qualifying in the Firestone Fast Six while the third will start a bit further in the pack ready to charge toward the front. Will Power and the No. 12 Verizon Dallara/Chevrolet was the fastest of the three-car team running 139.786 mph in qualifying leading to him start third for Sunday's race. Defending winner of the REV Group Grand Prix, Josef Newgarden and the No. 2 REV Group Dallara/Chevrolet, were the fourth fastest with a top speed of 139.478 mph. The 2019 Indianapolis 500 champion Simon Pagenaud and the No. 22 Menards Dallara/Chevrolet had an on-track miscue in the first round of qualifying leading to a 139.649 mph lap resulting in a 16th starting spot for Sunday's race. In preparation for a race that tends to have quite a bit of passing, the team will continue to work on their Chevrolets overnight and Sunday morning to get the cars ready to make their way to the front of the field.
