Notes:

The field was set for the IndyCar Series Firestone Grand Prix on the Streets of St. Petersburg on Saturday in a spectacular fashion as two-time winner, Will Power and the No. 12 Verizon Dallara/Chevrolet, captured the pole with Josef Newgarden and the No. 2 Hitachi Dallara/Chevrolet completing a Team Penske front row to start Sunday's race. It was Power's eighth-career pole at St. Pete and the 55th of his IndyCar career.  Unfortunately, the first session of the first round of qualifying saw several red flags and  Simon Pagenaud and the No. 22 Menards Dallara/Chevrolet found themselves in a position where they did not advance after not getting to set a full at-speed lap.  Pagenaud will start Sunday's race in the 13th-position.

Coverage:

A final warmup practice will stream on NBC Sports Gold on Sunday, March 10 at 9:15 a.m. The race will air at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
