In what amounted to a fuel-mileage race in the second INDYCAR iRacing Challenge event of the season at virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway, Will Power and Simon Pagenaud employed different strategies to finish 13th and 14th, respectively.

Both Team Penske eSports drivers started outside the top 10 for the 100-mile race on the popular 1.5-mile oval. However, they were able to race their way into the top 10 at various points just before halfway.

Pagenaud elected to undercut his second pit stop of the day while Power tried to make it to the end on one stop, only to be forced to visit pit road for fuel with only a couple laps remaining as the race featured no caution periods to help fuel consumption.

The third and final event of the INDYCAR iRacing Challenge will take place on the historic Sebring International Raceway – which won a fan vote over Kentucky Speedway – next Thursday, April 1.
