Race Rundown: Team Penske made a triumphant return to sports car racing on Friday afternoon and evening at Sebring International Raceway, competing in the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship – the 1000 Miles of Sebring.  The three-driver team of Felipe Nasr, Dane Cameron and Emmanuel Collard began the 1,000-mile / eight-hour race in the ninth position in the LMP2 class behind the wheel of the No. 5 Penske Logistics ORECA-07 Gibson. Nasr had a brilliant opening two stints of the race, jumping from ninth all the way up to the fifth position in the LMP2 class. From there, Collard and Cameron each their turns behind the wheel, with Cameron pulling a triple stint though the middle portion of the race that featured a nearly 30-minute red flag delay.  The No. 5 Penske Logistics LMP2 ran between fifth and eighth in class into the evening hours on the high-speed, bumpy track. As the race entered the final hour, a line of severe storms blew into the South Florida region which forceds two more lengthy red flag situations and eventually an early end to the event.  The No. 5 Penske Logistics LMP2 was credited with an eighth-place finish in class, and 11th place overall.

Cameron's Thoughts: "It was a good first outing for Team Penske's new WEC program.  The car was definitely better today in race trim then it was in practice and qualifying trim over the last couple of days.  Felipe had a great early stint and that set us up to be competitive and near the top half of the LMP2 class all day long.  The guys on the team worked their tail off all weekend long, learning how everything runs in the WEC world.  I think we all had some good learning experiences and we will be able to apply those when we are back on track in May at Spa."
