About IMSA
The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has been sanctioning races in North America since 1969. IMSA's flagship series - the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - competes at 11 of North America's leading sports car venues. Competition takes place in five classes - Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3), GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and GT Daytona (GTD) - and brings together renowned drivers with leading manufacturers for some of the world's biggest sports car events, including the Rolex 24 At Daytona and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Porsche Penske Motorsport will compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with two full-season GTP class entries - the No. 6 and No. 7 Porsche 963s - in 2024.
