Recap: The pair of Acura Team Penske ARX-05 DPi entries did exactly what they needed to do in qualifying for Saturday's Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Needing only a top-eight finish by the No. 6 Acura to secure the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC) title, and with the No. 7 Acura still in contention for a second-place finish in the points, both cars qualified inside the top four on Friday afternoon. Ricky Taylor and the No. 7 team will roll off from the second position for the prestigious 10-hour race, with Dane Cameron lining up just behind him at the start in fourth. By firing their engines tomorrow to start the race, Acura Team Penske will secure the IWSC Manufacturer's Championship for Acura.
