Jonathan Gibson
Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Penske Corporation
Jonathan Gibson leads all marketing, brand, and business development initiatives for Penske Corporation. In his role, Gibson also oversees corporate communications processes and messaging, digital innovation, and several short and long-term strategic initiatives across Penske Corporation and its subsidiary brands, including Penske Automotive Group (PAG), Penske Transportation Solutions (PTS), and Penske Entertainment.
Gibson also directs all commercial initiatives for Team Penske, the motorsports arm of Penske Corporation. Gibson joined Team Penske in 2007 as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, leading the marketing, communications, branding, and merchandising teams while maintaining and managing the team's revenue and executive-level relationships with corporate partners. Currently, he continues to oversee relationships with more than 40 Team Penske partners, representing many of the world's leading brands competing across the INDYCAR SERIES, the NASCAR Cup Series and the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Under Gibson's leadership, Team Penske's marketing group has earned numerous awards for creative marketing and social media campaigns.
Before joining the Penske organization, Jonathan built extensive experience at Miller Brewing Company and other premier marketing organizations. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia and his graduate work at West Virginia University. In 2014, he was recognized as one of "Sports Business Journal's" Forty Under 40, recognizing influential executives who have made a significant impact on the sports business industry.
Gibson resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with his wife Jessica and their children, Graham and Campbell.
